What is a Measure Objects in Business Objects Universe?

A measure object is any object that conforms to the contexts in a report. It is defined with an aggregate function. There are two types of functions present in a measure objects:

1. Aggregate function - added to the Select clause of the SQL generated for the object. This calculation/aggregation is done at DB level.
2. Projection funciton - used for the report level contexting. Applied at report level.
